2D Animation

2D animation figures are edited or created on the computer using 2D bitmap graphics and 2D vector graphics. 2D animation has many applications, including analog computer animation, Flash animation, and PowerPoint animation. 2D animation focuses on creating characters, storyboards, and backgrounds in two-dimensional environments. Often called as traditional animation, the figures can move up and down, left, and right. They do not appear to move towards or away from the viewer, as in 3D animation.
